Sales Manager Battery Solutions (m/f/d)

Within our business line Battery Solutions, Fortum leads the change towards a low-emission energy system and optimal use of resources. Lithium-ion batteries play a key role in enabling the transition to clean energy and the growth of e-mobility. Our goal is to support our customers’ business by conserving natural resources and promoting circular economy. At Fortum, we are forerunners in battery recycling and have developed a cutting-edge low CO2 hydrometallurgical technology, where up to 95% of valuable metals can be recovered.

About the role
To reach our ambitious goals, we are expanding our Battery solution business to the German market. As our "Sales Manager Battery Solutions (m/f/d)" you will play a crucial role in mapping and identifying new customers and markets while developing existing customers within OEM, automotive and heavy machinery industry. Together with our customers we build smart and sustainable solutions for ensuring the circulation of valuable materials and the removal of harmful substances from the material cycle. Your tasks will include the following:

This role reports to the Head of Commercial Battery Sales, headquartered in Espoo, Finland. The position can be based anywhere in Germany (Homeoffice) with frequent traveling to customers and colleagues within Finland and Germany.

What we are looking for
We are looking for an entrepreneurial mind set with can-do attitude. You are a strategic thinker who likes to interact with customers while building strong relationships. You can translate customer needs into successful projects. You feel comfortable in an international fast paced environment. Ideally you bring a technical or economical degree and have worked several years within the automotive industry or an OEM and gained profound experience within other solution oriented sales or business development role. You speak German and English fluently.
